Die Inkunabeln und Frühdrucke der Franziskaner wiesen häufig Makulatur auf. Neben Fragmenten aus eindeutig franziskanischem Zusammenhang wurden auch Standardtexte wie die
›Legenda aurea‹ des Jacobus de Voragine oder die Sentenzen des Petrus Lombardus ebenso wie Wismarer Urkunden als Teile von Bucheinbänden verwendet. Das breite inhaltliche Spektrum der vorhandenen Fragmente gibt einen Einblick in die möglicherweise im Konvent vorhanden gewesenen Handschriften, von denen sich heute kein Exemplar erhalten hat. Mit der Signatur S 6 wird eine kleine Fragmentsammlung im
verwahrt. In diesem von der Provenienz her unhomogenen Bestand überwiegen liturgische Texte, die bis in die Zeit um 1300 zurückreichen. Daneben existiert bspw. aber auch ein Fragment aus dem ›Decretum Gratiani‹.
Repurposed paper in the library of the ›Ratsgymnasium‹ Stadthagen. By Anette The historical library of the ›Ratsgymnasium‹ Stadthagen, which primarily originates from a Franciscan convent founded in 1486, is preserved in the Lower Saxony State Archive in Bückeburg. Much of the incunabula and early prints from the Franciscans contained repurposed paper. Alongside fragments directly linked to the Franciscans, standard text such as the ›Legenda aurea‹ by Jacobus de Voragine, the ›Sentences‹ by Peter Lombard and Wismar documents were repurposed as parts of book bindings. The diverse content of these surviving fragments provides valuable insight into the manuscripts that likely existed in the convent, none of which have survived to the present day. A small collection of fragments, catalogued under the signature S 6, is housed in the Lower Saxony State Archive. This collection, which is diverse in terms of provenance, primarily consists of liturgical texts from around 1300. Additionally, it includes, for example, a fragment from the ›Decretum Gratiani‹.
